Sharon Neufeld, Orchestra Teacher at Chinquapin Preparatory School
Chinquapin Preparatory School's mission is to "provide a high-quality college-preparatory education to highly motivated students from Houston's under-resourced communities and schools." Although the school has existed since 1969, it has never had an orchestra program until now, a task Sharon Neufeld has taken up in creating this opportunity for Chinquapin's students! The school has access to very few instruments , but thanks to our generous donors, The Houston Instrument Share has been able to provide the Chinquapin Preparatory School with a piano and violin, and we are in the process of collecting more instruments to provide to the school!
